Laser Marking |
Laser Marking offers impressive benefits over conventional marking methods. Laser produce a significant amount of energy in a small defined area (as small as .003"). This focused energy is far greater then that achieved by any other process as it heats, melts or vaporizes within selected areas. Laser can achieve significant contrast by material melting, material annealing or material vaporization, all effects being uniquely permanent. Today a large variety of materials are being enhanced with laser marking. Virtually all metals, most plastics and a great deal of coated materials are being beautifully and permanently laser marked. Manufacturers of parts unsuitable for laser marking are utilizing laser marked identification plates. These are commonly made of stainless steel, anodized aluminum, brass, steel or adhesive backed plastic. Laser marking will produce a crisp, clear, high contrast black mark on the metal. The mark that this process produces is considered to be permanent when used on stainless steel and will survive scratching, lubricants, salt water spray and abrasion tests. Depending on material composition, other metal surfaces can be marked as easily and effectively as stainless steel. Lasersgraphic can handle flat stock as large as 24 x 12 inches or cylindrical items up to 5 inches in diameter. Laser marking industrial tools is a perfect way to leave your company's logo and important information on your products. Non-contact CO2 laser marking is an excellent method of permanently marking part numbers, serial number, lot codes, and 2D and data matrix bar codes onto your products. Whether your marking requirement if for one part or a thousand, Lasersgraphic can provide the fast and affordable marking solution for you. 1. What is laser marking?
